These Weeks In Philosophy Publics 😅

New subscriber Discord server, Substack Lives, Ask Me Anything, Round-ups, and continuing to think about Friendship.

Dear Frens,

Looking back at the past couple weeks, we have been very busy! First, I launched our private subscriber

1. Discord Server

where we have been discussing all the things and getting to know each other. We will be able to attend live online events together, as a group, through the power of streaming, and more. A group of us attended our first live event, with more events being added to the calendar as we speak.

If you want to join us, sign up for a free or paid subscription, and then you will be able to get the invite link (or message me for an invite) from the Chat messages space below:

2. Substack Live: Philosophy Publics Unplugged

Speaking of events, I launched our Substack lives show tentatively named Philosophy Publics Unplugged and scheduled for Wednesdays at 12pm EST. We now have a space to chat about whatever is on our minds, philosophically speaking. Below is the recording to this first live, where I introduce myself at some length, in case you are curious:

I have to admit that I thought Tuesday was Wednesday and went live prematurely. I went live also the next day, since I thought some might have been planning to attend, and that video will be posted later today.

3. Roundups

Finally, I wrote a script that allows me to cull together a collection of posts from a curated list of Substack publications, and am using that tool to produce a weekly list for Continental Philosophy and a monthly list for Feminist Theory. (I am also creating a weekly Feminism list that is broader in scope, and an Art stacks list, in case that interest you.) I decided to put them into their own publications, so if you want to receive these, subscribe to the corresponding newsletters - it’s free!
